Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Tailor to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, altering, and finishing garments to the highest standard in line with the brand’s specifications. You must have a passion for fashion, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take accurate measurements and interpret client needs for custom garments or alterations
- Cut, sew, and assemble garments using industrial machines and hand sewing techniques
- Read and interpret design sketches and suggest suitable fabrics and design adjustments
- Conduct fittings and make necessary alterations to ensure perfect garment fit
- Perform repairs, including zipper replacement, button fixes, and lining adjustments
- Ensure clean and high-quality finishing on all garments
- Maintain and operate sewing machines and tailoring tools
- Keep the workspace organized and safe
- Manage multiple orders and meet deadlines efficiently
- Maintain records of orders, fittings, and completed work
- Collaborate with other tailors and designers where necessary
Requirements:
- Proven tailoring experience in a fashion production or design environment
- Excellent knowledge of garment construction, sewing techniques, and fabric types
- Strong attention to detail and finishing
- Ability to interpret fashion sketches and follow design specifications
- Time management and multitasking skills
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills
