About the Role
As a Sales and Commercial Adviser within Shell Nigeria Gas (SNG), you’ll play a critical role in advancing our gas sales strategy in the Agbara-Ota-Badagry (AGOT) distribution zone. Your focus will be on strengthening relationships with existing clients, growing sales, and securing new business opportunities through effective customer engagement and contract execution.
You’ll work closely with the Sales and Commercial Lead (West) and the broader Shell Energy Nigeria team to drive customer satisfaction, deepen market intelligence, and support the company’s growth trajectory.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and convert new leads into gas sales opportunities.
- Grow sales volumes within the AGOT zone by a minimum of 5% annually.
- Develop marketing strategies and sales clusters for the region.
- Handle contract negotiations, renewals, and functional reviews of Gas Sale & Purchase Agreements.
- Manage customer relationships to better understand their businesses and growth objectives.
- Enhance customer satisfaction and build brand loyalty through superior service delivery.
- Conduct market research, gather business intelligence, and produce strategic reports to inform business decisions.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in the oil & gas or gas distribution sector.
- In-depth knowledge of natural gas sales, trading, marketing, and regulatory frameworks.
- Solid track record in commercial deal structuring and contract management.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Commercial mindset with an entrepreneurial approach to identifying and developing opportunities.
- High level of integrity, innovation, and analytical ability.
- A team-oriented mindset aligned with SNG’s broader objectives.
